מִקְצֹעַ“corner”The word miqtsoa, "corner," is the ordinary building word for the angled place where two walls or two sides of a structure meet. It covers the corners of the tabernacle frame, the four corners of the temple courtyard, the corners of a wooden altar, and the well known bend in the wall of Jerusalem that Nehemiah and 2 Chronicles simply call "the Angle." It is the main and best attested form of this small family, and the rarer spelling mequtsaah, used only of the tabernacle's rear corners, means exactly the same thing.
