The Aramaic verb nesaq, "to take up," is the same verb as seliq, "to come up," written in the spelling its lifting forms sometimes take. It appears once, of the men who carried Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego up to the mouth of the blazing furnace and were killed by the flame.
