יֶלֶד“youth”The standard biblical Hebrew word for a child or young person, used throughout the Old Testament from a newborn infant (Moses in the basket, Exodus 2:3) to young men advising a king (1 Kings 12:8). It is the common, well-attested word in the yeled family.
